I have always had a passion for baking. It started at nine years old in my grandmother's kitchen with baking bootcamp. Every Saturday I would bake cupcakes and sell them to the kids in the neighborhood. I discovered the cake decorating world through a wesite www.cakecentral.com . From the very first moment I was hooked. In January 2007 I was laid off from my job at a major retailer. I took that opportunity to teach myself a new technique every other day. The goal was to make my youngest son's 2nd birthday cake. From then on it has become an obsession. I would love to attend the French Pastry School here in Chicago but right now finances won't allow. Until that day I am dedicated to learning everything I can about the world of pastry.
